hydro grow - one plant going south quickly

so i have four plants going on end of week 3 of veg. zero problems then overnight one of the plants took a nose dive out of the blue. zero changes other than turned small heater down in my space a touch. nothing drastic. ph stable at 5.8 and no burn showing on tips. change water every week and ppm is at 720, so not extreme. i’ve been doing this for a few years now and have never had such an abrupt change so quickly. any help would be great. pic attached.

Love the setup. I grow one plant in a res that holds 28 gallons and that's all that can fit in a 2' x 4' tent. Is that a 4' by or a 5' by? And it looks like an UnderCurrent setup - they're primo.

The environmental basics are sound so "What changed?"

Did you change the location of the hose that's pumping mist into the tent or is that fan on the bottom of the tent used to push the vapor up? It really looks like that plant in the right front is getting too much water vapor so its VPD is in the crapper.

Is that sensor tracking RH/VPD? If so, put the sensor right on that sick plant and see how VPD/RH changes.

thanks for the response delps. it’s a 4’ by and it’s a fall ponics setup from pa hydroponics. i love this setup which has the res bucket outside the tent as well. you actually bring up a great point that i have overlooked. i normally treat the entire room with a humidifier and switched to the ac infinity one this grow to just treat the tent space instead of the room. the sensor is for vpd so what you’re saying makes complete sense. this morning, it looks like the one beside it, on the humidifier side, is starting to behave the same way. i think that i’m going to try what you are suggesting and move the sensor over. hopefully it’s not too late! great observation! thank you. ✌

Oh, yes, PA Hydro. Similar idea but better pricing, IIRC, and the res outside the tent is a better approach. I tried to figure out how to do a one site + res setup in my space and I just don't have the room.

AC Infinity - same here, though I'm running the little one. One thing to note is that you might get condensation at the end of the hose. I put an empty yoghurt container under mine to catch the drop. Another thing I ran into - the mouth of the hose must be the lowest point in the run of the hose or else the condensation will eventually fill the tube. With a hose as big is the one you're using, it might only fill up part way but it's something to watch out for.

Hope this takes care of it and happy growing!

haha. yes. i actually went a little overboard and put a condensate pump with a funnel on the input. the big one makes a ton of water! i was emptying a small container everyday and wanted to kind of alleviate that issue. thanks again and happy growing!
