Hey does anyone have experiance using the hydro-farm? i just bought one but im not sure if i need to put the air pump on a timer or not. thanks for your help!

Usually you just run air pumps 24/7, I have yet to read about a plant in any setup dying from too much oxygen. Heck there are hydroponic setups where the plants sit in the water with an air pump underneath them. You would think root rot but as long as that air pump goes the roots really like being covered as long as they can breathe.

well the air pump on this is hooked up to a drip ring. the air pushes the water up. so if i leave it on 24/7 it will be feeding 24/7? is that ok?

i just got off the phone with the hydro guy. he said to leav it on 24/7. the roots are in their own reservour (spelling???) upbove the water so the roots wont get flooded

i just got 2 of them myself, I assume you run it 24/7 but i haven't started using them yet.

hey does anyone have problems with salt build up in their waterfarm? mine seems to be caking up everywhere, especially on the ring. my nute amounts are on point so im not too sure what to think. any pointers on cleaning up the mess or is it safe to leave it like that until harvest?

24/7........air pump running.........buy stones from a fish store......cheap..............number one way to add oxygen to your water ..works great..........

hello ....please use plain water or mild nutrient fresh water to your resev. in between water changes.........everytime you add for example 5 gallons to the hydro setup.............please use plain water or light nutrient water ... for atleast a couple of hours so ... the system runs out the extra salt buildup...then change the water again and that should take care of that problem........rinse in between recharging....

hey thanks for the info. i usually just dump the remaining water out and rinse the res out. i just need to wash the ring every once in a while i guess

here are some pics of my master kush. it started in the aerogarden with soil nutes (miracle grow) i know i fucked up already. but hey this was my first. anyways i burnt the shit out of the plant with those nutes so i switched to flora series nutes (they come with the waterfarms) and transplanted to the water farm. i fucked up again when i transplanted! the root ball was so big it wouldnt fit throught the little holes of the AG. so i had to bunch up the roots and force them through. i kno really bad! so the plant was chillin under a 400w hps and an hour later it started to droop and it eventually was lying on the surface( i wish i had pics of that) i turned the lights off for the rest of the day and bam! that shit was growing like crazy the next few days. right now its at its 5th flowering week. i know its a little weak but this plant went through soooo much.
