Hydro Builder "Covert" brand grow tents

Does anyone have or know anything about the Hydro Builder "Covert" brand tents. I was looking for the tallest, reasonably priced 2x4 that I could find, it measures 24x48x79 and came in at $159 The only other option for height is the Gorilla GGT2x4 that costs $244. All of the Amazon budget tents like (Mars Hydro, Vivisun) are too short. Anyhow, does anyone know anything about this Covert tent? It seems like a really decent tent but I cannot find any info online about it at all. Also, Is the Heavy Duty Gorilla GGT2x4 really worth the extra $85? I almost pulled the trigger on the Gorilla, but I didn't like that it only has 1 bottom rectangle mesh intake vent and the ducting ports are all 11 inches. The Covert has 2 of the mesh vents located in the rear of the tent and has plenty of 7 inch ducting ports as well. All of my fans and ducting are 6". Any info would be helpful, thanks.

The Covert tents are really nice, closer to Gorilla quality than to the cheaper tents. Also, honestly, I don't really see a reason to go with the regular Gorilla over Gorilla lite, the "lite" material is still better by far than most other tents and it's just easier to deal with. Hydropolis is another brand with very nice quality. See if you can get your tent on a 420 sale. They tend to have sales for them then and on Black Friday.

I have two 2x3 and one 4x4 from them. Got the original 2x3 off Craigslist brand new for $30 or something (under the original name High Rise). was super impressed vs my other tents that I replaced everything with them.

Very good quality. The only other ones I have considered are the AC infinity but they don't have the extra height the Covert does and weren't in stock when I was ordering so I stuck w Covert.

It might be dumb but I also kind of like that they are brown instead of black. My grow is in my bedroom and it's just slightly nicer to have to look at.

The reason I was thinking of the Heavy duty version of the Gorilla is because I am looking for something that will last a few years but most of the recent reviews mention that their quality control is not what it used be, with the stitching around the zippers coming loose. Also the reviews were not so good on the Lite Line as well, in regards to the material tearing. I was looking at the Hydropolis tents, They looked nice but the measurements are a bit bigger than 2x4. I am looking for a true 24x48 because I have a lot of extra Secret Jardin 24 and 48 inch handling tubes that I can use for extra support on the top and around the sides of the tent without having to buy a separate high cfm kit. I am happy to hear the the Covert is a decent tent though, Thank you

Very nice. I also like the brown, it does blend in better and not look so conspicuous. They look decent for sure. I am happy that I did end up placing the order for the tent.

[/QUOTE Would you mind snapping a photo or two later when the lights are on in there? I would like to get a look at the inside of the bottom intake vents and see how bright the reflectivity of the mylar is.

Well anyhow, I did order the Covert 24x48x79. I will update this post with some photos after I receive it and set it up. The deciding factors for me were the height (compared to most of the other 2x4 tents) and the fact that it has 2 mesh intake vents vs the Gorilla 2x4 which is taller, but only has 1 mesh intake vent. Passive air intake vents are a really big deal at least for me. If the Gorilla tents are redesigned and they add at least 1 more bottom vent, I will eventually purchase one. Even the Gorilla 3x3 has only 1 of these intake vents. Disappointing design for the amount of money that they cost. Not to mention the recent negative quality control reviews.
