Is a Hybrid usually weaker in effect?

No, not usually.. They're bred for potency..

OK so they should be more to the dominant strain?

Right now dealing with White Nightmare and from what I have read it don't act Sativa dominant.

Most seeds being sold are polyhybrids. Hybrids are crosses of 2 separate genetic lines. For instance Thai + Malawi or Afghani + Columbian. Those would be hybrids. If you were to cross those two hybrids you get a polyhybrid. Most of the stuff out there has been crossed to eternity these days.

As for potency that's going to depend. Some make crosses to increase CBD levels and lower THC levels. Some make crosses for potency, some for CBD, some for the color purple, etc...

Absolutely.
You need to find yourself some RIPE landrace sativa to see what it’s about. No ceiling, effects for 5 hours. It’s how it all was in the 70’s. (in my world) People that go for the high thc numbers and fancy looking cookie candy smelling crap to show off to their homies don’t have a clue.

Guilty I've been looking at THC when getting Seed or Clones and my Son said quit that.

Got a Logger friend that has old type bag Seed he grows in the brush. It will kick your butt.

Don't have any idea what it is full of Seed. Crush it, remove the Seed, roll it and Smoke.

Can get pure Sativa or Indica and I'm Guilty of looking at THC numbers .

I don't want to deal with Seed so go with Female. Then start looking at yeald but have some Buds that are small, don't know what they are but know it will set you down for a few hours.
