Hybrid L.E.D and Hps lighting

Wanted to get some opinions on this. I am already buying things to have a great second grow. To cut to the chase, I want to look into the hybrid lighting. I already have a 300Watt LED grow light and want to add a 400 or 600Watt hps on a timer to cut on for an hour at a time. For example the LED would be on the whole veg/flower period but the HPS would cut on lets say 3 or 4 times for an hour each time. My goal would be to have great/bigger buds, low heat, low energy bill and peace of mind. Would love any advice or opinions, thanks.

Thats interesting, I use 4oowatt hps with 4 135 watt LEd Blackstars for side lighting. The girls love them.

How many girls did you have under your lights?

Turning on and off the hps lamp like that is gona kill its life span. Might wanna have the hps on all day while the led cuts in and out. Or have the leds on all day and have the hps come on half way at 6 hr's and stay on till the 12/12 cycle ends. I'm assuming you're trying to save electricity otherwise it's best to just run em both all the time

I agree that's gonna be hell on you HID equipment maybe turn around and just use the HID on 12/12 and turn the led on another timer every couple hours

maybe use the HPS in week 4-7 of flowering (if its a 8 week`s strain)

and as said above, only run it half the time (etc. the 6 hour`s of the day where you have the lowest temperature`s)
