hey what do you guys think? isnt this a score? I just bought a pair, gonna try them as side lighting, really cheap option, comes with a tripod too, 3 year warranty, COB, 4000 Kelvin ... perfect? I think I am going to buy a couple more, only for side lighting for me, beats T5s IMO

haha! That was back in the day where I used to hang out here out of boredom, at this point in my life, a party cup plant is sure to die in the bud room! I will consider it, maybe later in the Fall or Winter.

That's it, a cheap plug and play is what I was looking for, it is only for side lighting. I like that I can easily point the COBs in the direction I want, I am stoked. I think I should remove the glass, but otherwise, it's just another COB led, in the perfect spectrum for flowering in my opinion, 4000k.

You get out what you put in, that extra 75 watts will improve the lower nugs and overall yield, price per watt in Candian dollars is $3/watt, which is pretty good... I guess?

I've been eyeing up these for some time now, expecting an efficiency bump, never happened.........lol, still cheap enough to try for seed starting or growing goji berries that cost a fortune to buy packaged.

Just get LED tubes. 4 footers are easier to find @ good colors ect.

in my experience, building 250watts 5 spots fixture (5x50w) cost me ... I can't remember now, but well well over $800 canadian, I had to put it together, top of the line components though... great. now I just wanted a quick cheap plug and play, and to be honest, I can't see the difference between cheap (vero) COBs and expensive (CREE) COBs. As stated in previous post, for the most part, what you put in you get out, wattage-wise. If I was looking to buy a main lighting fixture I would look into greengenes new fixtures or some other companies, but I have all the main fixtures I can afford to run ( or have the space to ) I was just curious to hear other people's opinion on those and why not more people using them.... at 4000k, are they not meant to grow dank!?

The T1-2100 I build costs less than 2 of those, puts out 12000 lumens, at almost the same wattage as one of the Huskys.

Interesting.... well if I need good work lights I have them now lol. That's why I posted here, that way I won't go buy more, unless....

I still think it's a way better option than CFLs!

@Rahz I bet your lights are a much better deal if you are in the USA but I've ordered many times from abroad and by the time the gear gets here after shipping and custom clearance it always ends up being ridiculous expensive anyway.

I don't really understand why they put out so little lumen, it's just a COB, no moving parts, it doesn't even get hot (have to double-check on that today) so for me if it runs cooler than a light that pits out more lumens, I ll be happy too. I have strong lights from above a mix of Vero and Cree

They're 123.5 lumens per watt.

The Hyperikon is like 115.
he's referring to if the e-ballast losses are included, because you don't bypass them with the Philips 4ft/4000k retrofit bulb.........anyone's guess on the #s , some really shitty/cheap t8 fixtures being sold at lowes/homedepot , total crapshoot on ballast efficiency unless you open it and check what's being used.
