humidity to high

So I just flipped to 12/12, three days ago. My humidity is 69 percent when lights are off and temp of 60 F. When lights are on temp is 72 and relative humidity is around 65-70 percent. I am flipping out about that humidity, pretty sure if I don't bring it down to 40-50 percent that I will lose all 4 plants to mold. Wife thinks I am an alarmist.
I want to get a
Frigidaire FAD504DWD Energy Star 50-pint Dehumidifier
or similar, she wants to go cheap and get something like a,
Ivation IVAGDM20 DehumMini Powerful Small-Size Thermo-Electric Dehumidifier
she kinda thinks there is little chance of mold so we can leave the humidity as it is until harvest.

btw the room is 3x4x6h, is exhausted right into the basement and intake is in basement also.
the basement air outside of room is 60 F and 65 humidity. basement footprint is around 25 x 40.

Should I worry and get it under control stat? or is she right?

also, anyone with suggestions of DEhumidifier? cheaper the better. (must do job safely of course)

so your exhausting into the basement and your intake is in the basement like recycled air? that could be ya prob why humid in 70's? nowhere for the humid air to escape

fans and flowing air between the plants and canopy will reduce chances of mold also

-Extension to the vent to the farthest corners of basement and maybe even outside.
-Fan for the air movement in the basement too
-Road Salt in the basement
-Vent the basement separately

-Take out the intake from the basement and just use air in the room next to it. The vacuum should keep the smell to a minimum.

I got the 70 pint model for almost the exact same situation. It works and I would recommend it. At worst you have to empty it ever 12 hours (hot, humid, continuous setting), but I've gotten to the point where I can wait two days before doing maintenance (cooler, dryer, keeps my space at 50% humidity). The thing eats up energy, but this is just the nature of dehumidifiers.

Personally I don't mind running my bloom RH in the sixties. no higher.

Maybe you should invest in an air cleaner/fan combo so you can exhaust the air somewhere else.

You're fine, just move enough air around so water doesn't sit on the surface of the leaves.

Look up vapor pressure deficit

Agree with a senile fungus, just get the air moving and get a couple of fans if you haven't.
