Humidity Problem

I'm having a rough start germinating and taking care of my young seedlings this year. My humidity levels are EXTREMELY low so far in January, WITH a $40 Home Depot humidifier Im achieving 29 to 31% humidity. Im also leaving solo cups of water IN the tent w/ that POS humidifier.

If that humidifier cant get my RH up to 50% or so this grow is gonna suck. Useful's Orange Cookies X Chocolate Diesel plant is doing well but ZERO of Heisenbeans Dos Si Dos beans have popped in 4 days! (Heat mat, dome, moistened with a misting bottle every 3 hours.) 0/4 on Heisenbeans PURPLE CRUNCH (dos si dos x purple punch). Heisenbeans PURPLE CAKE (wedding cake x purple punch) is 1/1 on germination, though.

Are you using a mist humidifier? Or the kind where zero mist is seen? Ime, the mist models put out more moisture. I am currently using both.

The one not working anymore is Evaporative.

the one on its way here is Cool Mist.

One winter I put a 5" air disc in the bottom of a 5gal bucket filled with water with a fan blowing across the top. It worked pretty good.

An evaporative cooler (swamp cooler) is just a big humidifier. Perhaps a large one in the room the tent gets it air from.

If you are venting the tent you are blowing out the humidity as fast as you make it unless you are humidifing the air in the "lung room".

Went 0 for 5 trying to germinate Heisenbeans Purple Crunch.......normally I take the loss and say nothing (unless its a defective new 1800 dollar 4k tv)...
Mentioned it in a GPS thread, was told he'd compensate me so I called them up........offered me a pack of any beans on the site free, shipping out tomorrow with tracking......

I haven't been on as much lately, been spending less time online because I have been playing with my new rosin press. Just hadn't seen your posts I suppose, I spend most of my time in the Indoor Growing & Grow Room Design and Setup sections.
