Humidity Control Suggestions??!

My lung room is about 1500 sq. Ft. It naturally runs on the humid side. Tent usually reads 76 temp and 65% humidity. Which is great in veg not so much in flower. The only thing I’ve been able to do to bring humidity down to 50/55 in flower is to run a large dehumidifier in the lung room 24/7. It fills with water and needs to be emptied once or twice an every 24 hours. Definitely a chore! Considering adding a small dehumidifier inside the tent. Any suggestions for a small quality unit? I am guessing it may be more efficient to dehumidify the 3X3 space rather than the room it’s in, or both? Thanks.

I don't think your humidity in the mid 60s at those temps would be an issue for flower, but i will say I've tried three in tent dehumidifiers, and they were all hot garbage, because the tents weren't air tight. I currently just use a big room one. But have it set to only run when the humidity in the room goes above 65. I empty a 5 gallon bucket usually once a day.

From your other post I take it that your venting your tent back into your lung room. Is there a reason you're not venting to the outside? If I did that I don't think I could keep my tent temp below 95.

My 2 x 4 tent is in a 20 x 20 garage.

I run a large home dehu in the garage ("Waykar 5000 Sq. Ft Home Dehumidifier with Drain Hose"). That unit has a hose which I run into a 5 gallon bucket since I don't have a drain in the garage.

For the tent, I tried a Vivosun first (not a chance), then the Pohl Schmitt, and settled on this generic model. It's sitting on the res top, between the two plants. This photo was taken on week 7.1 of flower. The plants consumed 1.8 gallons of water overnight and I emptied 275ml of water from the dehu. RH in the garage would have been 45%± and VPD was 1.0 at night and 1.2 in the daytime. The inline fan was running enough to exchange the air every minute. I had Govee sensors in the canopy and RH was in the 50's.

Very happy with how well it worked.

If you are lowering humidity by 10 to 15% it is quite significant and unlikely to have problems. As for a dehumidifier to the flowering chamber only yes i do that i cut the sidewall at the size of the dehumidifier and used tape to seal it in this way it blows dry air inside. On the meter it would bring it down but it would not get it from 80 to 40. That would probably be possible with less or no exhaust but plants need fresh air...
