Humidity adjustments?

I have a small grow cabinet with four plants in the first week of light at 18/6. My temps inside are staying at about 80 degrees farenheit, but my humidity is only at about 30% to 40%. I have to 125 watt compact flouro.'s in domes above, with a PC fan in the top back for exhaust.

I was considering another fan for exhaust, and another for intake, any thoughts on this?

Also, I'm curious about these new LED grow lights i have seen lately.....here is a link.......http://shop.sunshine-systems.com/product.sc?productId=10 ... thought about getting one of these for my small grows.

Any extra info. for this grow would be much appreciated, and i love getting help from great growers here. kiss-ass

Is there any way for me to increase the humidity to the proper 50 - 60 % along with keeping the temp at proper temps of 70 -80 farenheit? I think i'm okay with my temps of 80, just not the humidity.....

Thanks guys!

Actually when in your in the vegetative state where your photoperiod is 18/6 a 50-60 RH is a good range. Where you do not want your RH to be around 60 consistently is in the flowering state.

well i've heard that putting a couple cups of water in the grow space with the plants will increase the humidity. ive been doing that since mine started, and i move the cup a couple weeks ago and now that i think about it. since then one of the plants had its leave curling upward and around in a wierd way. i think that may be one of the reasons. i need to replace it now that im thinking about it

Thanks for the tip, i'll be doing that right away.

I also just swapped my intake and exhaust fans, the one had more air movement than the other and it wasn't exhausting enough i think.:wall:

I added the water to my box, only one cup to try it.

When i put the cup in the temps. were about 85-87, and RH was at 30%.

If I get the humidity up a little more and the temps down a few degrees, I think i'll be good.....:wall:

Put a shallow pan full of water inside your box, as the water evaporates it will cause a rise in humidity. You can also spray the plants with water every day and that will help a bit. temps should be below 85F at all times otherwise growth will come to a crawl.

Thanks alot, but i prefer not to spray them i heard too much about frying leaves this way.

Also, my temps will not go below 85, i don't know what else to do......:wall:

I just got the cheapest thermometer lowes had that had a gauge that measured the humidity. I think it was on;y like $4.00.

But, the cup of water and the fan blowing keep the humidity perfect now.
