Im looking into getting a 400w hps lamp. this site High Tech Garden Supply seems to have some amazing deals. 400w hps ballast, reflector and bulb for $120 but has anyone actually purchased from this retailer..if so how discrete is the shipping and if so, did you feel safe enough to have it shipped directly to your home? I dont have access to a secondary mailing address, no one willing to give me the OK to have it shipped to there home anyway. I have a floural shop in my area that is a hydrofarm retailer.. this lady gave me a 400+ page catalog of hydrofarm supplies and she can order and have it shipped to her shop, for me to pickuop, under her name...totally safe that way i would imagine but from this retailer the 400w hps lamp will run me around 250, a tad out of my price range..any info on that site would be great, thnx alot
 
great for getting started, you know its cheap if he can sell it that low, however i vouch i used tony a few times, bulbs have a very high failure rate but he stands behind everything 100%

GREAT, thnx alot, i also found out there located in the US so thats a postive feeling, with shipping the 400w hps kit will be around $137 for me, i damn sure cant beat that elsewhere :-)
 
this is a good light for the money. and yes they are safe and plain box shipping. any questions...Tony is great help and with any trouble he is quick to fix.

check my gallery for pics of the grow with this light. i now use this light for rooted clones and moms.

great mike, thnx alot :-) i saw the light in ya pics, is that the same exact 400w lamp im referring to from htg?? and how big is your grow room that lamp is in? thnx again
 
I'm using a 250 watt MH for veg and 2 400 watt HPS that are all HTG brand and they work flawlessly.

Hell I'm even using their grow tent and bulbs. Never had a problem at all and will keep doing business with them. Great place!

yes this is the same light. the room is 4x4x8

this light is best used in a 3x3....hope this helps..:blsmoke:
 
hey bud.. if this is ur first investment i would seriously consider a light with an air cooled hood, unless of course u live way up north and heat will not be an issue.. these lights get extremely hot and u will wish u had an air cooled hood.. spend alittle more and it will pay off.. plants hate high heat :) happy holidays
 
GREAT, thnx alor sure does help, my room is 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 10, so that should do great, hows the heat level procuced from this unit??
 
that had crossd my mind, i have a cfl set up with 12 26w bulbs, average lights on temp is between 91 and 94 lights out around 70's i have a very very small grow room, as far as a air cooled unit, i would have to have some exhaust for in the room for the cooling duct correct? If so im screwed. Im crowing in a closet, cant exactly go chopping a hole in my door, lol something i will deffinetly keep in mind tho, thnx alot
 
I never ordered lights from them but have ordered bulbs and all is good.....they also have a ebay store as well, will continue shopping there for sure...
 
Before you buy from them on the website.....You may want to give them a call.
I was able to piece my own kit together and it came out to ALOT cheaper than what i thought it would. He even replaced the 400w with a 600w HPS!
 
Last night i was on ebay and bought a 600hps from them. They seem to have very good deals. Saved over 150 bones vs a local hydro store.
