basicall the tittle says it all JK.
okay so here it is, most HQI metal halide bulbs do not have UV blocking properties and are dependent upon the fixture to have coated glass piece to cover the bulb and filter out UV rays. now this really only applies to aquariums and Tanning salon adn when one of hese fixtures breack you are told to buy a piece of glass that is specially made so it up to thier specs..
so this is basically what i know so far and if i can get some input on this we might really enjoy the results.
borsicicate GLass in a cool tube is faily impure and will filter out 100% UV-C and some UV-B and UV-A how effective is the cool tubes light transmission? Type R MH bulbs could have outer envelope removed and placed in borosilicate cool tube or reflectors with glass(certain kind are going to have certain light transmission properties) to filter harmful UV-C rays, to allow the max of UV exposure to our plants tell what you guy think any research on this ect.
