can u use a hps light throw out the grow and ur grow will still do good and not flower intill u swich it to 12 12 light? like can u start clones and start seeds under an hps and still like that? cuz i mite do nothing but hps lights.

HPS is fine for established plants throughout the life cycle, but the clones and seedlings really need flouros, the HPS is simply to intense, even at 50" I've lost a tray of clones to HPS,so I wouldn't use it for them.

yes it will work
but u will prob save money to veg under floros...and use the most intensity for flower

Once the plant is established you can use the HPS for veg aswell. I have used HPS for veg many times and im not a big fan of the MH bulbs.

Im interested to hear your reasons for this, could you please elaborate? Like many here, I got a lot of respect for your gardening skills :weed:

like like using a hps for the vegatation room , the hps does every thing seeds, clones, keeping a plant not from budding, would u be able to do that and they will live throw it?

i dont think it will be good for seeds or clones
photoperiod contols budding

hehe Oxy, I want to know why MBlaze doesnt like MH lights, but I didnt see one thing in your post about MH lights :eyesmoke:

I just find that the overall yield is less and the plants end up smaller under MH during veg compared to HPS. Thats just from my experience from a couple of comparisons.

when you say the plants were smaller during veg, do you mean they seemed to have less nodes/branches/foliage, or just reduced internodal distance?

I didnt take that much notice of them to tell you the truth lol. Just the overall height, size and yield was less.
