HPS Vs Metal Hallide

I'm sure this has been answered many times, but what are the differences between these two, I just picked up a 400W HPS bulb because I hear they are the best for bud, but why?!

Is there a use for Metal Hallide, such as can it be used in conjunction with HPS to provide even better results?


Also, I was wondering if this was a good bloomer, I've heard some pretty good reviews, but I'd like to know if any of you have tried it before. It's called Miracle Grow Bloom Booster, here is a link to it.

It's a blue crystally powder that dissolves instantly in water.

The HPS light is best for flowering and the MH is best for vegging - I use both in my flowering room for the best spectrum of light during budding.

Also, I like Kool Bloom from General Hydroponics and I tend to stay away from Miracle Gro for my weed - but it's great for household and outside non-pot gardening.

But have you actually tried it for bud? Or is that your opinion No offense I just want to know a real answer man.

So has anyone actually used this type of bloomer?

I haven't tryed it, but I am yet to meet a person that has had good results using any "Mircul grow" product with weed.

iv used it and its a good fert, makes a big differnce, its cheap and u can find it at homedepot,my problem is its not organic, so if u do use it, just make sure u flush the hell out of your plants for a good two weeks before u harvest, and i dont see a problem in using it, use the ''lil''spoon size that comes inside,put two of those to every gallon every other watering,

Two of them?! It only says to use one.

i used two, every other watering, or u can use 1 every watering, both will work, if u see it burning just let off a lil, iv never burned any plant with the bloom, but now im more into organic growin

no this was a long time ago, i use pureblend pro bloom now, but yes the mg bloom works good, just dont for get to flush, u are growin in soil right?

yes, soil, what would happen if I didn't flush just harsh buds or what?

might not burn good, will have a chem taste, might give u headachs, not good
