I was up to ~400w of CFL and heat became an issue because the ballast were all inside the grow cabinet. Switched to a 250w air-cooled hps which brought my temps down and my yield went up. I love CFL for clones/mothers/seedlings/vegging but they just didn't work that well for me during flower. I'm currently running a 600w air-cooled HPS but I'm debating a switch to LED, mainly to lower the level I have to run my fans at. Air-cooled hood adds a lot of noise.
