hi fellas ,
im wanting to make the switch from hps to led . i grow in a 1.2 square tent and use a 600w hps bulb.i get yields between 15-20 zips growing autos.

what led would give me the same results , grow northern an english company are releasing a light soon and apparently its comparable to 600w.
id like a better spectrum and the only way is to go led but i dont want to lose yield.

thanks guys :bigjoint:

Alright matey, I came across that company before building my own light and while searching on google for northerngrowlights (a USA company on here)
My thoughts were wft how much for a 75w light.. I gather they use better single diodes than a lot of the crap that's on the market from china but still...

My advice will be the same as all the other guys on here, build your own or buy a premade COB LED fixture.
Check out these companies.
northerngrowlights.com
johnsongrowlights ( https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/)
timbergrowlights.com
cobkits.com

Take a look on youtube @ growmau5s vids , he's not your usual youtuber who's full of bull shit trying to push peoples products because he gets paid to, he's a good grower building his own and testing things out regularly and does it for the love of growing, building and experimenting.

RIU is full of folks who build their own or grow with pre made units, most of them will tell you they shit on HPS in yield, spectrum, quality, efficiency ect..

Enjoy getting your mind blown!

No worries.
I have never used KIND nor Platinum but everything I read says they are just like a lot of other mono diode lights out there, over priced and not nearly as efficient as they make out. Its also pretty old tech, these days it seems to be about white light offering a balanced spectrum rather than lots of individual multi colours to create a "full spectrum".
Its a minefield of miss information on the internet and especially when It comes to LEDs.
I like to look at what folks are doing on here, folks you know are growing and showing for the right reasons rather than people on the net pushing one thing or another. I tend to trust members on here far easier.
Anyway, enough about my distrust of the interwebs!
Welcome to RIU its in the perfect place for learning more.:weed:
