HPS Light--what went wrong?*PICS*

Hey Fellas--

Switched over to flowering the night before last and installed my new Agromax 1000W HPS bulb. When I first got it about a month ago from HTG I fired it up to test to see if it would work (which it did), but now I seem to have run into a problem. The bottom of the bulb looks burned and there is a little piece of what looks like metal "floating" and stuck in one of the lighting tubes (pic 1). Is this bulb shot? If so, do you know why? Should I ask for my money back from HTG?

Thanks!

Sent them an email with the same pics--very cooporative. If anybody is curious what was wrong with the bulb (in case it happens to them), here's what they said:

Hello

Thank you for your purchase.

I apologize for this inconvenience! looks like the opaque arc tube on the inside of the lamp(bulb) failed and the sodium vapor is now coating the inside of the glass shroud.

I can replace that lamp for you; I'll however require that the defective lamp be sent back before I can send a new one. Please send your defective item and a copy of your receipt/packing list or contact info (ie. name and address) and RMA# xxx too:
