HPS Bulbs

Do HPS bulbs need a special light fixture, or can I use any old fixture for regular bulbs? I saw some HPS bulbs for sale at Home Depot for like $22 and I thought that would be cheaper than paying $400 at a hydro store.

You need to buy the proper fixture for that bulb, otherwise you could have a fire , not worth it.

most generally run off mogul sockets and bulb specific ballasts that ignite the bulb, without the right ballast you will start a fire, most likely

dude spend the 300 bucks im cheap but one day said fuck it lets do it now my 2 inch plant under my fluros witch was dying is not over a foot tall and bushy i stay by hps all the way
