hps bulbs question

i was looking for a new bulb last night due to mine dieing and i noticed there were the son-ti bulbs which have an internal ignighter does that mean no ballast is required ??

You still need the ballast. Im pretty sure the internal igniter is for faster start up. HID bulbs take some time to get to full intensity and the internal igniter speeds the process.
