How high above the plant canopy should the HPS light be. They are in the early flowering stage. I have read that the light should be 24 to 30 inches away for the last 2 weeks , but it didn't say anything about the time period before the last 2 weeks?

The size of bulb would really help in determining that. 400 watt a foot, 600 16 inches, 1000 24 inches is the general. Just hang the light and put your hand over the plants, if your hand is being burned its too close.
Yeah sorry its a 400w. So basically it's the same as a MH as close as you can get em without burning the plants? As far as the last 2 weeks of flowering I read in CC Mag that 24 to 30 inches is good for finishing it's supposed to add flavor?
