HPS as Reptile Light??

Can one use a HPS for reptile lighting? I understand reptiles need a fair amount of uvb and uva light. If so, how far away would one hang it from the reptile?

And as a side question, can one use gecko poop or tortoise poop for fertilizer? I can't seem to find any articles on this, so I figured its worth a shot to ask!

Please only respond if you are sure you know how to properly care for a reptile.

well i have a childen's python and i have her under a 13w fluro, i think a HPS maybe alittle to much man, i'm no exspert but i personaly wouldn't do it man, i may be wrong but i wouldnt

might be a little too bright on it's eyes.
