HPS 150W ok?

i got a Sylvania HPS 150W medium bulb, using with ballast, (cant use regular socket)
is that gna be ok for veg and flowering?

It depends on your grow area and how many plants

just growin 2, gna be in a 2x2 cabinet, 4 feet tall

the 150W will be fine, at 4 feet tall I would consider getting a couple CFLS for the sides of the plants.

A CFL is a compact fluorescent bulb,

Basically one of these,

deffenatly. that sounds perfect actualy. throw them cfls up in there and i bet you got a real nice couple of plants in the making man. just keep them cfls and that hps close so you dont get any streatching, but dont burn your plants.

if i put a carbon filter on it, and just had it exhaust out into the air in my closet, will it stink it up at all?

Most definitely, a carbon filter will take care of just 2 plants no prob.

You won't have to worry about odor until you flower.
