How'd I Do?

Can anyone see the pictures? The links are like broken for me.
I minored in horticulture, and I've read a fair bit about terpene/caritinoid expression as it pertains to UV radiation. Everything you're saying is true Hazy, I juat think you're a little too adamant about MH being greater than HPS. You have to realize the majority of this board grows to get high/stoned and that bringing out flavor is a secondary priority. I'd rather have 2oz of some non tasty fire than 1 oz of delicious goodness. And don't say the yields are comparable bc flowering plants NEED 640-690nm for the majority of their fruit biomass.

I think people would give you less shit if you had more documented grows brother. I've only been at this for 2-3 years and I've already gotten sketched out about documenting all this criminal activity so I feel ya.
Speak softly and carry a big stick. Dont run your mouth off (even if what you are saying IS TRUE) without great evidence to back your claims up. Galileo was right, but no one believed his ass bc he had no proof until whenever.

I believe you based on what I've read Hazy, but realize people tend to have confirmation biases. Until you've got some serious grows well documented why would you expect anyone to believe you?
No one discredits MH bulbs, its hazey re re repeating bullshit he read
Many of us have years under our belts, original OG members and use multi spec bulbs ie 400-600, 600-125Wcfl etc etc.

What we do however hate is the fact he tries to come accross as an old school breeder not a noob that as read a few books.
His grows are BOMB and us old timers that have grown MANY pure or almost pure Sativas are the ones doing it wrong plus we are trolls.

Ye right. Crazey copies some good ideas from others (well gets stuck on ones he wants to get feedback on as he wont get their) then trolls everyone wwith genuine care for growing

I think we need a mod to follow him around and put a warning under every post he does

Thanks to everyone for the hazey expose'. I'd actually feel bad for the cat if I hadn't read this quote earlier:

"
  • if you believe whoever has the biggest mouth like so many fox news watching morons who can't discern between truth and agenda, it sucks to be you. "

You know, I'll refrain from responding specifically to that - I've seen the cr$pfests that pass as political and societal discussions here. But I'll tell you this for fact:

you likely have no idea who here is a FoxNews viewer and who's not. Neither do I, and I could give a fkkk. Stick to the GROW discussion,,,,unless you're getting your $ss kicked, then resort to insults and name calling. When your cover's been blown - again, it seems - I guess that's all you got.

Remember when I said I'd give your halide theory a test? Fuhgeddabouddit !

Looks like you did great, You picked a couple of the better barneys strains it looks like. Their blue Cheese also gets some high marks from some growers.

I have heard bad germ reports on the cole train. But these might be new stock if they are from the tude. Good luck, lets see if we can't get your thread back on track :) good ol'apeshitcrazey trollin the place up.

Hey now this is what I'm talking about! I was about to rename this thread "The Crucifixion of Hazey." Honestly I picked those Barney seeds based on the popularity of them on the 'tude. Let's hope I get some good pheno's, next order I'm gonna stick to packs of 6 or more so I can choose which plant I want from the bunch.

see, I've picked what is popular but didn't bother reading grow reports on some of the strains, big mistake. While they never were gigantic disappointments, they were disappointing. Started seeing names and grows on lesser known breeders and haven't looked back.

eta Hazey is fuckin crazy and can really bring out the worse in a thread

Likely every newbie does this. Green House Se-eds and Barney's Farm likely made their way into many a newbies first orders [raises hand].

Yeah man it is almost easy to say avoid the "popular" strains on attitude. Usually they are based on heavy marketing and not on actual quality. I always read as many reviews/reports as I can about each strain. Even then it is tough, especially with companies like Barney's Farm and Greenhouse seeds. They have people give out grow/smoke reports on their strains to fool people who try to research.
Personally I just completely avoid anything from either of the two above mentioned companies.
They do have some good stuff, but my luck has been pretty dismal with either/both. Seems you have to do major pheno hunting in most cases to find something good. What really sucks about them it is either the 1 in 100 bad ass plant, or it is the 99 in 100 completely suck ass plant. There seems to be no middle ground with them, it is either good or really bad.

Yea I got burned on Barneys Vanilla Kush. Started mostly with DNA RP as well as freebies.

If I'd know better I'd have not wasted a couple hundred dollars and would have started out on other breeders.

I find those that market the hardest generally have the lesser quality gear. Goes for other cannabis and non cannabis relates stuff like fertilizer.

Yea I'm starting to get a sense that those I chose using the most popular charts are gonna be what you've experienced, Oh well live and learn.

You gotta hand it to the companies though, they do seem to be on top of their marketing shit with all these sales with average seeds.

Like Puerto Rican women! haha anyone?

Anything related to that Lemon Skunk (which GHS and also DNA have) will be potential fire (SLH and Lemon Skunk). They have other really unimpressive lines as well though (White Widow). I've had Arjan's Haze which is pretty good (frosty, hazey smelling and a nice buzz/flavor) but I'm not sure which # and I know for a fact they hunted through more than a few packs to find the plant.
