How will this work out?

Ok so I'm going to make my own grow cab out of a wooden frame then put white/black poly over the frame (white inside black out of course) and use a staple gun to keep it in place. I know this cannot be airtight, but I really need to keep smells on the low, I was thinking I could keep a negative air pressure so the cab is always sucking air in, and exhausting through the carbon filter therefore keeping in the smell. I have a 160cfm carbon filter/fan combo (my room is 3x3x4). So pretty much for intake can I just have it as a passive intake since it's a fairly small space (AKA just let air flow in through cracks between the poly and the wood frame). Like I said I can't afford too much smell =/

You can make your room tight with staples and wood frames. Just get a roll of either red vapor barrier tape, or aluminum tape. Cover your seams with tape.. all good.

If you vent out of your tent, make sure you have a bigger exhaust than intake (whether passive intake, or small intake fan)

You will see the plastic suck in when you kick on the fan, means you have neg pressure. If you are cutting passive intake holes.. if your tent stops sucking in... tape one of them up.

Sweet man ty so much simple logic of the poly will "suck in" if its negative pressure why didn't I think of that haha  and yeah I will get some tape maybe this? http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...d=-1&keyword=vapor+barrier+tape&storeId=10051 looks good to me, reflective, hell even energy star approved lol :leaf: +rep for you :blsmoke:

Lol.. It's all good. And that tape is the stuff I use. Aluminum tape. I actually found out that my local dollar store carries like 20 foot rolls for $1.. So I stock up when I need it.

Yeah I've got pretty much every aspect of my grow planned out just waiting on shipments. Pretty exciting :bigjoint:
