How wet does my rockwool need to be?

How wet does my rockwool need to be in my DWC hydroponic system? My plant is maybe about a few inches now and I want to run the fan so it can get a thicker stem and My rock wool dries out at the top but i have a drip feed system. Do i need to let the drip feed run? or do i just like let it dry at the top because the drip feed will run into the hydroton allowing the roots to get water

I would think moist but not dripping ..... as long as the roots are getting o2 and not rotting you should be good. But what the hell do I know lol I grow in peat!!!!

hmmm..... could is it possible you could have light leaks in your pots ??? If the roots are getting light for some reason it can cause your roots to turn color... Also you may want to make sure your PH is proper

Its hard to achieve an exact PH of 5.0-5.5 with PH UP and DOWN kit that shit is strong man. Is 6.0 ok? even if i drop a lil pinch of ph down with the dropper it automatically gets 4.0

The pH scale is a negative logarithmic scale, it isn't linear. One drop of acid won't have the same effect from 7.0pH as it would from 6.0pH

You could try to put some drops of acid into a quantity of water, that's way its diluted. Then drip the acid water until pH test shows pH level is satisfactory?
