how to use the sunlight grow yoyo hangers

i have no idea how these things work, when i tighten the drag bar the string still goes back in. whats up with that?

once the light is hung from them the weight should hold them inplace with the wing nuts tightened
if they pull the light up with the wingnuts tightened they are broken

damn guess I got what i paid for, i ebayed some yo yo hangers but they still retract when the wing nut is tight. thanks for posting this, saved me some time.

Retracting when the nut is tight is normal. Tightening the nut keeps it from being pulled out more. The weight of the hood will keep it from retracting.

Ah i see, Guess my reflector isn't heavy enough. I will weigh it down to prevent stretching.
