How to use rockwool

what do you want to use it for?
Starting seeds?
Cloning?
If you plan on starting seeds then you only need the very small 1x1 cubes to get your seeds started. You pre soak your rockwool for 24hours in pH5.5.
Then you plant your seed in the middle. The good thing about rockwool is you can see how wet/dry it is just by looking at it.
If you plan on cloning using rockwool. You take your cutting and place it into your again pre soaked pH5.5 mild strength nute solution. Propagate and wait.
Watering rockwool you need to aim for 15% runoff and make sure your pH going in is between 5.5 and 5.8 as rockwool has a tendancy to rise pH when it dries out.

You just keep up'ing your size of rockwool cube.
Start with a 1x1
Then transplant the 1x1 into a 3x3
then if you need to you can transplant the 3x3 into a 6x6 if you need to, You dont have to remove the plants from the cube they are in you just place that cube into the new larger cube.
And as for the pH tester do a little reading mate as you can get them anywhere.
Start reading as much as you can now because if you dont know how to use rockwool properly it can kick you in the ass!

Alright sounds good thanks for the help. I'm going to be refferring back to this in a few days
Yeah I'm considering growing lst(low stress training). Can I do that with hydro? its just a 2 plant hydroponic system inside a very large pc box with
a great scrog fence.

If NASA can grow basil in space with hydro, you can bend some sticks here on earth with it. Awesome.
