How to use MG? (Miracle Grow)

Okay so as a few of you already know I am replanting my 2 week old plants tomorrow and putting them into a mix of 60/40 soil and perlite and want to start adding nutes to my grow, baring in mind im a first time grower I wanted to use something easy like miracle grow, What I need to know is is miracle grow okay to use if so when do I use it how often do I use it and how do I give it to the plant?

Continue as above, avoid feeding tho for another 2-3 weeks, plenty of food in MG, thats why its a 'hot' soil, toooo much food, hence why you gotta dilute it with perlite also to avoid root compaction

EXTREME DANGER: confusion may exist here...?

Miracle-Gro Potting Mix is what I mean do not confuse with this Miracle-Gro 100052 Liquid Houseplant Food, 8-Ounce http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Gro-100052-Houseplant-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B00004RADQ
compare: http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Gro-P...8&qid=1394825875&sr=1-3&keywords=Miracle+Grow ....is what I mean and is what most growers refer too

one a liquid food perhaps you got this and the soil is what I mean

lol im confused, Am I right in thinking you mean this, Do the repot tomorrow, wait 2-3 weeks then start feeding the plant with Miracle grow potting mix? Sorry lol

Yeah ...........potup with Mg potting mix at 40% perlite, water well, allow to recover in dim light 2-3 hours or overnight then continue

Do you have a tomato garden outside?? Go dump the box out outside and buy nutes geared toward growing pot that's my honest advice...you can spend 35 bucks Assn entire general organics go box good for a full grow...why use Mg?? Mg has a tenancy to cause problems for new growers because they don't know how it works and wind up over feeding, flushing, which causses the opposite effect with delay release and let's out more nutes lol..plus I like to have full control over whets being released when...think about switching for the next grow you will be much happier

Hiya vostok, Think Hairy Haggis means this stuff?

miracle grow_01.jpg

Or The Stuff you get in the Bottle, Regardless HH read the Label and Half the amount it States(Don't give full dose) Ml > Ltr or whatever IF its powder then again Half what the company says to use, better to be Safe than Sorry.

Peace

EDIT: After wk or so, you can up the Concentration of MG per Ltr of water, or how ever the Stuff works.

When you re-pot give em good watering and then don't water unless Soil/Compost mix looks dry...easy to over water in the first few weeks

Little Tip after you re-pot and before you water-in...IF you can weigh the Pot/Plant Dry(Dry-ish) Kitchen Scales OR Bathroom(Depends on size n weight of *New Pot) then after watering-in and letting run-off drain..Weigh again..then you have a Dry n Wet(Watered) weight for future Ref.

Peace

Oops nearly forgot: If unsure when it comes to Watering after the First watering-in when to do..I tend to water every 3 days or so...But a Good Trick is to use your Little Finger at the Edge of Pot rim and insert into soil say about 1.5" if moist-ish Soil/perlite sticks to finger when removed give her another day before Watering.

Hope All goes well

I Don't use MG, But a fair few peeps do and have good results...

IF you Google MG in Cannabis, You will get loads of results, posts n forum Chat about peeps Who DO and Peeps Who DON'T use....

Different Strokes 4 Different Folks...

Me I use BioBizz GROW / BLOOM / ALG-A-MIC / HEAVEN and next I'm gonna try out Advanced Nutrients Organic Range.

Miracle grow soluable isn't the devil. it's a reasonably well balanced feed, if a little high in k for veg. Has all the micronutrients you need, bar magnesium. I've just used nothing but mg for veg and it worked out fine. Maybe expensive fert would be better. Dunno. 1/4 then 1/2 doses, up to full strength only when the plants are bigger and prove to be tolerant to the current dose.
After mg, another cheap garden centre feed is Phostrogen. Switch to that for flower, maybe add a wee dram of k based fert to up the k in the npk ratio.
My understanding is 3-3-1 for veg, 1-3-3 for flower. Note 30-30-10 is the same ratio, only stronger by a factor of 10.
Nutes, feed, fert... it's all the same shit really. Only when it costs a lot you call it nutes, when you pick it up from Tesco/ Wilko's, it's fertiliser. And more subtle. Important if you're prone to paranoia.
If anything I've written is inacurate, somebody please correct me. Don't just flame me cos you like gh, ff etc. Oh, fuck it. Flame me. I'm retardant. :)

Just want to say a huge huge thanks too all o you for helping, great community of helpful people here :) Helped me a ton on this miracle grow question. Im not a serious grower as this is my first grow next year will be a lot more advanced though so i think i will just try use MG through Veg and change over to phostrogen for flowering stage, again thanks to all of you guys its appreciated :)

Mg all purpose is 24-8-16, so perhaps not ideal ratios, but it definately works. I used bog standard compost, no perlite, no additions and mg right through veg. Not tragic results.

There's probably something to be said for switching to straight water just before 12/12 and for a couple of waterings after. I didn't and the very tips of 1 (of 3) of my Chronic Lights showed a little yellowing. The other 2, one of which seems more inca dominant were fine, as were the 3 expert seeds Cheese. I did wonder if there was some undisolved fert in the bottom of the can which ended up in the last plant watered, which was the one with 'the tips'. All better now though.

MG has a bloom fert in the liquid also. Works great as a foliar. I am doing the organic compost and worm method now. It worked great on a Mulanje sativa girl. Didn't get any burnt tips:
