How to use Jeweler's Loupe?

With or without light, yeah you have to practically touch your loupe to the buds. 30x is cool but 60x is where it's at, you can see EVERYTHING with 60x. Best lighting for me has been my bathroom or right under my fill spectrum grow light

Although I still use my loupes for a quick look.

I have one of those I got years ago. I found it too hard to focus in on anything so It ended up in the "Stuff" box.
I don't use anything these days. I just let the plants grow until they look good and done and then I chop.
When I did use a loupe I sported one of these state of the art units.
Mine works really well for me but I have rock steady hands. I can tell you one thing you don't wanna do is not pin your waist length hair up before getting up close and personal with a plant like that (even with your classy brass loupes). I won't even discuss how long it took me to pick these long red hairs outta my plantsI have one of those I got years ago. Got one of those digital microscope ( uses wifi app on iphone to display ) cost me like $15 bucks . Don’t even use it really since i judge flowers differently and don’t really scrutinize triches.
Only use this thing to take cool plant picks and outside exploring ( like a little kid lol )
