How to transplant 3 plants from outside greenhouse into inside budbox

Hi there, new to this so hopefully someone can be nice enough to help.....! I started late outside in a greenhouse, plants are growing nicely (12in), Himalayan Gold, I am about to get a budbox 250w cfl with new pots and soil and or hydro. How easy is it to transplant to a hydro system, is it possible, or are roots to delicate to play with like that? Slightly worried about bringing in any bugs from outside so want to change the soil as much as possible, using biobizz soil, or should I just transplant into bigger pots leaving as much soil on as possible? Should I then go straight into a 18/6 cycle to continue veg state or if I take it to 12/12 will it start to flower and will growth be shunted? Thanks in advance guys and keep up the good work, learnt so much from all of you, Respect !!

your plan is to get your soil plant to hydro..thats impossible dude..If your plants is still small i say vegg them a little more..transplant after 3-4 weeks, but all really depends how big was your starting pot...

:peace:

Thanks growspace, as I said, new to all of this !! Pots are about 2L at the mo, would you vegg them still outside, then bring inside in 3-4 weeks on a 12/12 in a bigger pot or should the bigger pot be used before flowering? Cool dude

U want to transplant before switching to 12/12 schedule...the bigger the better, 5 l is a one proper mofo pot ..And yes, if u can vegg them still outside, because u cannot beat the massive hps outside, but be sure that your plants are not going to start flowering..2 weeks is fine, even if its starts to flower, then just bring it in, and vegg or let that babe flower inside, its up to you mann....:peace:

its technically possible, ive seen people do it on here. That being said i would not ever attempt to do so, you will hurt your plants roots system no matterwhat pretty much and imo is not even close to being worthwhile to try/do. if your paranoid about bugs just take some preventative measures and you should be fine for sure. i wouldnt worry myself,if their were harmful bugs on it while being outside right now you should see symptoms/signs right now too, bringing them inside wouldnt make them suddenly just start damaging it at that point. when i was new i took my plants outside all the time when it was light and back inside at night under lights and i never had any bug problems.

cheers darkdestruction, tell me please, this will seem dumb, but I am a newbie! Should fans and carbon filters etc be on 24 hours? lights only that go off ?
I am worried about stretching, one of my plants is big bit seems stretched, (none inside yet), should I prune a bit now to start to get new branches out? would a pic help you as i can put one up later, thanks in advance !

yup, fans always stay on. you mean they are stretching real bad outside or have you brought them inside now? if they are inside just get the light as close to the top as possible, 2-3 inches. cfls lose their effectiveness pretty quickly once the light gets past that range. have you thought about using hps at all? they are not as expensive as you'd think. you can top them if you want or you could low stress train them or both, i usually just lst, i like short big plants, 3-4 feet of nothing but an even canopy of nice top colas. you'll not get that from that 250w cfl, but a 250-400w hps will.

ok thanks dude, going to get a 250w hps, tell me please is it better to run the light cycle during the night, or day, (slightly worried about aerial copters etc), I plan to take them straight into a 12/12 from outside, not in yet, what's your addy and I can send pix for u , ez

Aerial copters?? Where do you live? I like the light cycle on during the times I'm home most.. Or if you live in a hot area lights on at night to stay cooler..

sorry i took so long to come back. havent been on more than a few minutes last 3 days or so. I really wouldnt worry bout helicopters or anything. depending on where you live their is a chance i suppose they might nail you that way, if its in the us they cant though, they need to get a warrant to flir your house, supreme court ruling, follow the rule of dont tell anyone and dont do anything that could give them a reason to get a warrant and they are out of luck. they also make flir blocking reflective material for grow rooms but its pretty expensive imo when mylar or black white poly work just as well as it reflectivity wise and i have absolutely no fear of getting busted through flir. Dont ever let them talk you into letting them in without a warrant if they ever do show up, they will act all good-cop bad-cop on you and other tricks like making it seem like them getting a warrant isnt gonna be a problem for them, but remember the whole point of them coming over like that was because they couldnt get a warrant and go that route with trying to get you. when they ask why you dont want to be searched dont say something like "because i have a right to do so." it might be true but thats gonna get em going even worse and convince them your doing something your not supposed to. just say like your tired and are going to be or have an important event planned or something like that. it is best usually to run them at night, simply because thats when the temperatures are coolest and less effort is required to control temps, although it being winter time soon might make that not really matter. I prefer nights but really if their is no temp issues its really up to what suits your needs and schedule the best.

Nice one dark, good man you are. one more thing, plants getting kinda big now, wanna prune them or seen this bending the branches to create more node sites, what do you think?

sorry it took me so long. I lst almost all my plants. it helps maximize your space and you can open up the plant to alot more light, just keep all the tops at the same height, if you do that all of them will get the auxin that determines what growth point is the main one. so you'll have an even canopy maximizing your space and lighting of all nice top colas. lst=low stress training, thats when you tie the plants down. i'd explain it in more detail, but this guy here already did a real good tutorial on it thats got the pics and step by step info that would take me a while to fully cover in my own words.
