When you ship with UPS or FedEx you agree to their TOS which gives them permission to open any package they chose. The USPS requires a warrant to open any packages. So on a scan they can't just open it for seeing what may be organic matter.

There's nothing you can do to stop the smell as far as a dog is concerned. Only from people. I use Turkey bags they do a pretty good job. Smaller stuff I jar too. Not sure about a lb. I'd recommend breaking it down into smaller packages and stagger sending them out.

Send it with a fake name and some e else's address so if it gets popped you're good. Granny acts like she di dnt know any better.
