Alright guys about to start my second grow, im thinking to go with 5 GHS fem 'The church' last time round i was running GHS Lemon skunk.
I run a 600w hps and i had 5 plants in the tent and pulled just over a oz of each plant, the bud IMO was primo. I was not really satisied with my yeild and i would like to step it up this time round.

Im thinking of topping or lst or another technique that a beginner grower can use to give them that extra boost when it comes to yeild.

What do you guys reccomend I do ??

Thanks in advance

LST, topping, and supercropping will increase yields per plant but will also increase plant footprint. you have 5 plants under a 600w light, if you train them you may not be able to fit as many in the same space. if you only pulled 5-6oz. off a 600w light then training techniques are not the main solution to your problem. that is approximately .25-.4gpw which isn't all that great but just fine for your first grow. i would vut back to 4 plants, try some light training techniques (maybe top twice and do a little LST) and try and dial in your nutes and environment. you have the light to pull 1lb. my guess is you need more practice and experience. yileds come with time. start learning your nutes and getting your plants dialed in. you should be able to get to a point where you can go an entire grow without your plants showing any signs of nute burn or deficiencies. you also need to learn how to push your plants ppm levels. all of this will lead to increased yields a lot faster than training techniques.
