How to know if your plants need food!

I know if you give your plants too much nutrients they get nute burn and the tips turn yellowish color. But if your not giving your plants enough nutrients and they want more whats a specific sign that would let me know they want more food? (For example: yellow tips = too much nutes)

anyone please help...
 
Go to the M arijuana Plant Problem forum and read. There are picture tutorials of every possible thing that can happen to your plants. There's a great sticky about it

it depends on so many things however, rule of thumb is (from seed into soil):

1. seedlings - nothing for 2-3 weeks (soil has plenty of nutes to support seedling)
2. then once a week with veg or flower specific nutes
3. basically you will water 2x week once established so the other water will be just water or (i use cal-mag and superthrive EVERY water)

what nute line up do you have?

PS don't ever follow label always start with 1/4-1/2 label instructions until you know how your plants react..you can always add more..you can't undo over nuting and you won't know for a day or two so exercise caution.
 
(1st grow) Using fox farm ocean forest soil, with fox farm soil trio nutes, big bloom, grow big, tiger bloom. I used no nutes just water up until the start of the 4th week. Beginning of 4th i gave them a very diluted nutrient formula 6 tsp BB added to a gallon of water, and i didn't even use the whole gallon i still have at least half.

yeah that's what i needed to know..FF.

the soil runs hot..do NOT nute 2x week they will fry. i use FF exclusively so 1x/week (or every other water) for nute at 1/4-1/2 label..1/2 label is the MAX:

google fox farm soil schedule..i tried to attach but the file is too big.
 
alright cool thanks thats what i needed to know, il do 1x feeding a week with very watered down nute formula 1/2. Glad i found someone who's doing the same as me. much obliged.
 
I don't know what this feed every other watering is. You should fed every watering. I feed with tap water @ 950ppm nutes or half strrentgh ever watering in flowering. I mean do you eat just every other week?
