how to kill large caterpillars on small plants (not in buds)

I've searched the forum for this, but can only seem to find how to kill worms in buds, not early in the season on VERY small plants with Very large caterpillars. We've had these in the trees all my life in the spring and have used Malathion to kill them. When saw these, I immediately thought of the Malathion, and didn't realize until after we got it that there must be a natural way to get rid of them without using poison.
Here's my question: How can I get rid of several types of larger caterpillars on 5-7" plants?

thanks

Thanks, we have a Home Depot near where my husband will be tomorrow. He can stop by and get it then.It looks like it'll work just fine.

On my outdoor I alternated....

BT one week.
Spinosad the next.

Monterey Garden Insect Spray contains spinosad. I believe the spinosad is for killing on contact.

BT. The insects (emerging from fresh hatched eggs for example) have to consume it.

I had minor....
Caterkillers
Thrips
Mites

That stopped after I started preventative spraying.
