How to get my sativa to flower?

hey guys,

My Sativa is about 16 weeks old since it sprouted in early december and is about 3 feet tall now, i live in the southern part of india and its hot as hell here, i just think its high time my weed plant started flowering. Is it compulsary to have a 12/12 light schedule? i grow my plant outdoors and i'm newbie. I've attached ssome pictures of my grow

Here are some things i wanted to know..

1. Do you see signs of pre-flowers? Are they any pistils on them or are they just more young IMG_6880.JPG IMG_6881.JPG IMG_6882.JPG IMG_6880.JPG IMG_6882.JPG IMG_6883.JPG leaves?

2. the sun sets at about 7 pm (completely) and rises at 6 am (not sunshine but there's light by then) , so it's almost 12/12 schedule which would be good enough for it to automatically flower right? or do i still need to do something about it?

3. What to i do to make it flower faster? (i'm leaving home in a month (mid-may)

4. from the pictures, how long do you guys think it will take for buds to show more prominently?

5. Is covering with garbage bag for total darkness a good i dea, i just feel taking it on and off everyday might damage the plant.

6. does it really have to be pitch black for flowering to begin?

7 Does my grow look healthy?

8 Monsoons are a few weeks away, will it affect my grow in any way?

I know they're a shit load of questions but i really have no idea how to proceed! I would really really appreciate your help!!! thank you.. and yea A Happy Easter to all of you

Getting them 12 hrs of true darkness will do it if you can bring them in. But end of May, they still wouldn't be done...

1) I see no signs of pre-flowers yet
2) It depends on the strain, but most would start to pre-flower by now, but some sativa require under 12 hours of light, it's too bad you didn't use a indica/sativa cross
3) If you can manually move the plant into a dark room every night, then you can advance the flower mode
4) even if it started to pre-flower today, by mid-May they would still be immature buds
5) Yes, some people will use a bag to cover to induce more night hours
6) darker the better, but there is always some light in nature (stars, moon)
7) yes, it looks healthy
8 - You can likely answer that one yourself based on how bad your monsoons hit your region, but odds are it will not be good

Sorry but time is ticking for you and likely you won't be able to salvage much by mid-May

Thank you king, but i was pretty sure the small minute pod like things were signs of preflower. But it's a female right? Cause i had a male which started growing at the same time as this one and it got buds like a month ago. And when it's monsoons i can just move the plant indoor right? use the lighting indoors?..monsoons still a month away..and finally, covering it with a bag wont damage the plant? with all the handling?

well..this is just seeds that were going to be thrown away after cleaning..i didnt even expect it to sprout :)

whaaa? Really? But there's no signs of seed growth or anything..just stringy white and some browning pistils or nodes or whatever they are called

look like male preflowers to me..
hard to see though, not very clear
structure suggests male..

No it won't flower with that much light

I don't see any signs of gender, but that's just me
You can move indoors but the lights can shock them, so keep them a good distance away for the first few days until they become use to the artificial lights
The bag should be okay, just be gentle when putting on/off
