How to get medical card where applicable

I want to grow the goods but my wife doesn't want me to do anything until I can grow without the "potential" for gettting into trouble. I live in California and I need to get the card. Can anyone help? Do you know of a specific doctor that will give the card? How much will this card set me back?

hmm I have one and it is under sombody elses name. Read the law it states a caretaker can also grow............so I have his info posted on my room. Hit me back up we can talk and I can give you links.
