how to figure PPM?

Its the amount of nutrients that you need to put in the water/solution to raise the ppm 250 ppm higher then what it originally is.

Example: If your tap water has a PPM of 100 then you would add that nutrient (the one that says to start at 250 ppm) till your PPM reader reads 350 ppm
You would need a PPM meter to make sure you use the right amount unless if has different directions, maybe look online for a per gallon recipe. What nute is it?

some kind of nova stuff the local grow shop gave me for free, but I been wondering about ppm, as I have just been going by 1/4 of the recommended dose on the bottle, so it was a 1/4 of a 1/4. Seen some ppm meters on ebay, $16, just ordered one.
