Hi all,
these autos are in week 7 are they small for their age?, I'd really like them to branch but have no idea how to as this is my first grow could someone please list some techniques, I know of low stress training and I'll be using LST on them very soon but is there any other methods?
Plant is seedsmen skunk #1 auto

Not an expert, just asking:

What did the breeder say the final height would be (roughly) and how long did they say from seen to harvest?

I don't know that strain, or what the breeder claims, but I'd agree those plants are quite tiny for 7 weeks.

Oh... and are you growing them in sand and mulch??

I think it was 28 inches and 11 weeks but I have seen grow journals of them taking 90 days , no the sand is leftover from a top dressing I had on to get rid of gnats

Did you plant it in its final container or is this transplanted into the one pictured

you can promote branching by trimming new shoots that grow between two small branches near the top. trim the shoot and two will replace it. this will make it bushy but if it is in flower it is kind of late for this plant.
with autos, you automatically get nuthin'... try a small regular strain, you will get much more and it will be potent in comparison to any auto. i sometimes will plant autos because they look nice growing among my flowers, not to use. good luck, have fun...j. jellero

Autos suck. They do not finish as fast as stated. The potency is lacking. You're better off running photos 12/12 from seed.
thanks, ive always been under the impression that because of the house owners i would only get to do the one grow and was going for autos because they finish quick, must agree i feel like that was a mistake haha.
the owners are letting me grow again and im going for photoperiods :) any reccomendations on seeds? im getting from yantra and will probably order in the next week or so,i was thinking super lemon haze from green house seed co or some of their others but really struggling to decide on what seeds to go with im more of a sativa kind of guy btw.
any recommendations from anyone would be appreciated

Yes they are on the small side. These are my autos in week 4 and 5, and my 1 male at 5 weeks in the other tent
