I count from day of flipping, but I usually don't flip until sexually mature (staggering of the nodes and pre-flowers showing). I have also NEVER harvested in the amount of time a seed company reccomends, as for some reason my room/my skills just seem to take longer? Once that close to the end, I'd rather leave it for another week or two to get ideal results rather than rush what I've spent several months on over a week or 10 days.
My suggestion is to go on ebay and buy a jeweler's loupe for 10 bucks. Gives you 20-30x magnification and is plenty good enough to figure out what's going on up close and personal. I also agree to check the buds rather than the leaves, as you're not smoking the leaves... or shouldn't be anyways... while you're on ebay, get some bubble bags for processing that garbage into some nice.
If you HAVE found a strain that goes 90% amber in 6 weeks (42 days) I SURELY HOPE YOU CLONED THAT BIH, cause people gonna be beating down your door to get a cut of that to cross to every damn thing under the sun!
