How suspicious would it be to pay for things in cash?

Hey guys, definately not new to the whole scene but I am very sketch about what I do with my money.. Here's the question: If i was to pay for say, a car($30,000 or more) in straight cash, what would the reaction be? I'm 20 years old, and i do have a decent paying job for my age ($30,000 a year), but nothing to prove where my money came from, know what i mean:mrgreen:? Also, other things like a house(definately not saying im going to go out and slap $150,000 on a house) or what about a $75,000 car? (not saying im going to go out and buy a $75,000 car either..) What would I have to worry about if I talked to a car dealer, and slapped straight cash on the table, no payments.. Would I have to go out of state to buy the car? Would I have to find some low run down P.O.S. car dealership that has nice cars and SUV's so they ask no questions? How much is too much when your 20 years old buying things your parents couldnt even afford after 30 years of working? Has anyone ever done this? I know i can do it like i dont have alot of money.. and put a payment on a car.. $750 a month or so.. But yeah, I just want to know some details on this whole cash only subject. Give me some tips. Right now i drive a 1997 chevrolet c1500 silverado with about $15,000 put into it.. It is low-key and whatnot.. And i also live in an apartment.. I was busted when I was 18 years old, by the North Central Task Force(affiliated with the DEA) in Northern Illinois and they really arent anything to fuck around with..(busted down the door 10 minutes after someone left the house.. had assault rifles in my face, they took my friends baby away.. all types of really hardcore shit) I know i was being watched.. because they make it very obvious. Sitting in an undercover right outside your moms house just to piss you off.. or 2 cops talking right in front of your house cars side by side so your whole neighborhood knows your a dumbass.. but im almost positive im off the hook..ive been kept 'looking square' and 'past that point' in my life(funny but once your in your never out).. Would this affect anything? If they saw me driving a $40,000 car would they think im up to something? I really just work all day, and manage my.. ''personal possessions''.. i live with my girlfriend and i just pretty much kick it. I have someone else do my business.. and only 1. only 2 people know anything.. My girl and my dude.. so Im not in the line of fire or anything.. He knows hes to take the blame for anything if he gets busted. And i trust him with my life on that, because i know hes making an insane amount of money too.. I know theres like 5000 questions but yeah, im just wondering, should I just hold my money until im 25 or so? and then just go nuts with it? I have all the money out of my apartment.. and hidden at my girlfriends moms house. I dont want to go into details but i have a little more than 3 brand new 2008 BMW M6's stored in a wall. Thanks to SOG. Please answer my rambling statement haha

First of all dealer will want ya SSN and he will report that someone who has no source of true income came wit 20g's to his place of business.

Okay neva mind i read da post.
Ya girls name is good if she let's u.
Making a nice down payment n keepin up with the payments is no bad idea.
U wanna drop cake like dat n u got a prior? Naw bra bad move in my eyes.

If you do need to drop 20K cash, explain to the dealer that this is your entire savings for your entire life, and that you REALLY want to get the best deal. Try to talk them down from 25,000 to 20,000 and seem like a real cheapskate.

yeah i figured.. Im just asking for the logic of it all, and to understand how it all works.. so i should hold off for a couple years and just make payments on everything monthly? Me and my girl TOGETHER have an average income of $80,000. She kicks my ass because shes a nurse, and i work in a factory. Im in school and soon to be working as a heavy equipment operator, making $60,000 a year myself, and my girls in school to become a Registered Nurse, and going to be making about $50,000 a year. So is it smart to hold off for a while? I live near chicago.. You see crackheads driving the nicest beamers in the city, so maybe i could find a crackhead car salesmen, and have no questions? haha.

NEBRASKA STATE PATROL

Thats what NCTF is capable of. Bringing down a whole east coast-westcoast operation. People packed up and moved away after this happened. I rolled with that dude on some Molly, smoked so much weed with him, i learned EVERYTHING I KNOW from both of them. and hes gone for 10 years. Kind of makes me wonder if i should get out but theres just too much money to be made here. Money is addictive, a whole nother drug.

Not hold off like years just make payments u can make overpayments so it doesn't take so long n shit. Like if the payments are 700 a month right? make a 1000payment every month

See this is y I never got nething in my name.
U makin good money tho bra. U got a job so making overpayments wont bring up suspicion.
I read u not out there so if u got no visible ties to ya homeboy u can rest ya head on this subject.
U just gotta be easy on it.
U new to da game?

Shit like that will follow u n IRS just might come n say where is all this money comin from if u just start droppin cake on things that need ya SSN.

Clothes shoes, nice furniture, shit like that drop da cake on it.

I agree. maybe make a nice little down payment, say maybe 5,000 then just double up on payments or something. dont rush it. doing that will help you build your credit too :) thats a double plus being as young as you are.

Lemme ask this....how much is enough for you?Whats the magic number in your head where you won't need to do this anymore?Do you have a car that works well? Why isn't it good enough? You have food right?Isn't that enough?Clothes?A place to live?Do you really need things to attract attention?Lay low.Hide your money somewhere safe.Build and build, till you reach your magic number.Keep your car working.Keep food and clothes in the house.Go out once in a while. But be judicious. When you have what you need, get out.Sever all ties to that life.Wait a year.Buy the car.

I've always wondered this myself but from what I understand, anytime you pay for a big ticket item in cash, car and boat dealerships have to report it and so do realtors. If you bought a car from a dealership you run the risk of being reported to the IRS as having paid cash.

If you read the anti-money laundering laws that they have nowadays thanks to the Patriot Act, you'll see that everyone reports cash transactions. Everyone knows that $10,000 is the magic number where you get reported but I have read where they will keep files and internal reporting on cash deposits as little as $2000 - $2500.

Personally, and this is just me, if you want a certain high dollar car, maybe check Ebay Motors and see if there is a private seller selling it, same as with a house. I don't know how many average Joes out there would seriously report someone to the government if a person handed them $30,000 in cash! I know I wouldn't.

I've known a few people that have had cars bought in cash from them, granted they weren't more than a few thousand but they weren't complaining. I could only imagine the number of people that would report you would go down as the amount of money went up. I say all that to say this: If you want to pay cash completely up front, try to find a private party that is selling the item you want. I'd go with a loan if you have to deal with a real estate company/agent or a car dealership.

Tis far better to make monthly payments and keep all your money than to be poor and penniless in jail because you caught the attention of the IRS. Stay safe man.

For the car I highly suggest a cashier's check. Just tell the dealer that you have been saving all your life with odd jobs to get a car and you have never had one before. Work out an excellent deal and tell them you have a cashier's check. They will not accept cash anyways. I would not get an extravagant vehicle but something that will last a long time with no problems. As for a house....I am not sure how that works. I would have to ask some friends of mine. Usually when you are young renting is a good option until you figure out exactly where and how you want a house to be then you purchase one but if you know what that is then probably the cashier's check is the best way to go.

It only looks suspicious if you are suspicious or you are doing something wrong. You can provide pay check stubs and other things. Most people especially now - I highly suggest if you are going to purchase a car or a house to do it now while the economy is cheap in that market - they love cashier's checks - no worries at all for either of you. People may want to take advantage of you if they know you have that much to front so do not bring it up until the end. Because of your age people will discrminate and not give you a chance - that is no means however for you to flaunt cash because they will fuck you over. You want to dress nice and look nice and present yourself with a serious demeanor.

Don't forget that when purchasing a car or a house you have to purchase the title, tax, insurance, gas, maintenance, electricity, lawn service or equipment, and even the small things really add up so you have to give yourself some room in your wallet for those things.

An easy way to build up credit and get free cashier's checks is to open a savings account at a credit union. They do not require previous credit. They provide interest for your holdings and will build up reliability with them in case you ever do need a loan, co-sign, etc.

That's the best advice I can give and hope it works out for you.

I think a private seller is the best option. And i am never putting my money in the bank. When the cops see $300,000 deposited theyll shit their pants, and also get very mad for not catching you. You just pushed $300,000 worth right under their nose. A laugh for me at first, and a laugh for them in the end.

haha, first, i live in a shitty apartment.. more of a house with 4 apartments. my brothers friend since probably 6th grade next door, hes 21 (right upstairs) and a crack head (seriously) to the upper left of my apartment shes a little older than 35?.. and then i have the coolest dude youll ever meet livin in the back in a nicer apartment and hes about 30ish.

My set up is 6'lengthx7'heightx3width sort of cabinet. more of a gigantic box.. i CAN put about 15-16sq ft of plants in there, but it has 2 shelves. The plants are on both levels. I use a total of 4 250 HPS lights, 2 on top, 2 on bottom and theyre placed 12-14 inches or more away from the canopy depending on the strain's growth rate. I use 6" diameter pots for more space. I manicure my plants, and as a rule only during their 6th hour of light in 12/12, but not too often because of stress. and i barely ever look at them or take the huge door off. I have 1 intake fan on each level.. (i use an 8" window fan.. the ones that fit across your window and blow fresh air in, theyre rectangular and flat) its fastened on the right side of my box blowing air on LOW through the ventilation tubing for each level. My HPS reflectors have fans also(9"), and this all helps ventilation in such a small area. I have an 8" exhaust fan on the left side of the box blowing into a carbon filter. I have 2 6" clip fans (a rectangular looking fan with a clip, lol) placed a little bit above the plants facing across them, to move the plants GENTLY so the light can penetrate the canopy alot better. And this same set up is yes, on 2 levels. so a total of 5 fans per level. Its a gentle breeze trust me, just enough to keep out the heat and open the canopy.

I could follow SOG exactly and do 4 plants or more per sq foot.. which would give me 60 plants. But i do not do that. I only have 40 on each level. they grow, huge. I allow them to bush out but not that much. I have many secrets that i am absolutely graced with, and i learned from my 2 buddys, who are now in Illinois State Prison. Youll never know the reason of my just under 2 o's per plant secret. Its something you need to learn hands on. Northern Illinois has very very smart and creative people, but it is a corrupt spot to live in, and they are really cracking down trying to make the suburbs of chicago nice, and crime free.

And you ask wheres the veg box for the clones, dumbass. I let my clones veg under a CFL box i made for them, in rockwool. this is also 2 levels and it is very small, because i have no need to make it bigger.. its only about 2ft high.

The mother? In a sub-woofer box that is about 15" wide and 2 feet tall. constantly on 18/6 with CFLs. I take clones from the plants that are being flowered in my box, also. The clones are the toughest part of this entire process, simply because of the rate at which my plants grow.

Why build a box.. why not just grow 80 4 footers in a spare room? Because i live in an apartment, and the box holds the smell. Ever seen a bathroom ionic breeze? Get one. I have 1 for each level. Its your grow box's best friend. If you can install a CFL setup.. then you can install a plug socket for the bathroom mini ionic breeze.. its not much of a difference give or take a few minor things.

Yell at me for posting this here, but i dont want many people to know about my SOG setup, so im not making a thread for it. No you cant have pictures, and yes, you can replicate it (if you can:twisted:)

oh and if your going to replicate it you have to stain the oak wood a darker brown, paint the inside a flat white, and add 2 fake drawers on the bottom (it looks like it pulls out) and 2 fake almost 3ft wide doors on top w/ handles (its just 1 huge piece of oak for the door, this box is not moveable.) My landlord has seen it, and i took the fans down and shut it off when i knew she was coming by. I slapped a poster over the 2 fan intake holes, and a calender over the exhaust and there you go. I made it look like a big home-made closet, and i told her I was going to have it before i ever moved in there. I told her i didnt have a closet in my old apartment so i had to build one. Its not a slop-job nig-rigged box. Its completely smell proof, and it looks like a VERY nice piece of oak furniture. It doesnt look out of the norm at all.

Like i said, im square:mrgreen:. No one suspects a thing. Although i have people ask me where to buy closets like that. Thats a tougher question to answer, seeing as how if i said i built it, they would laugh. Suckers.

i hope my sog technique stays hidden, peace.

That's why you use several accounts. You are not going to find a very good person that will take straight up cash for a vehicle. You have your money at your gf's mom's house that you state is a golddigger? Well honestly what good is money if you cannot be legit? It is meant to cycle back into the system. It belongs to the system. It has their faces on it. A few extra bucks is not a big deal but when it gets out of hand then it is time to leave the country LOL. Not even Swiss bank accounts are that private anymore. It is much better to go to a place where you can grow and breed or sell legitimately than in a place where it is illegal because it will cost you more than what it was worth. Oh well to each their own and opinions will come, your choice if they go.

I heard somewhere that any cash transaction over 10k had to be documented. If this is the case then it would be possible that the car salesman would be responsible for the paperwork. You may want to check on this before walking in there with that kind of money.

I wouldn't put big cash deposits in the bank either in order to write out checks to make those car payments.

Too much money can be a curse. If I had alot of cash I would use it for gas, groceries, hardware store, xmas presents and all the little things you ever have to purchase and use your job income to pay the big bills with your checking account. Take a trip or two each year and dine well, stay in decent hotels and hit the beaches and/or amusement parks and spend some money that way.

I wouldn't do this stuff for big money though in the first place. Those are the people they are really after and will dedicate the most resources and time to catch and convict. The unexplained high dollar toys will be even more reason for them to come take everything away from you including everything that was purchased with legit money. The more money, the more drugs is that much more of a chance to get in big big time trouble with less chance for leniency from the courts.

My advice is to grow for yourself and if you are lucky, have a little extra to share.
