I have a 8x16x8 flower room in my basement which stays pretty cool all year round. my question is what would be the the best way to cool 6 600 watt hps w/sealed hood's, right now i was thinking of using a 6in 440 cfm blower with a charcoal filter attached then make one big loop and have it exhaust out the window. do you think i would be able get away with just that, or should i buy a second blower just to cool the hood's? would that be over kill... not enough... and suggestions would be appreciated. o and my intake is from the basement which is air conditioned and filtered. thanks

You are looking at about 2.5 minute room exchange which seems correctly sized. But it's impossible to know from here what your ducting runs look like so honestly the best thing to do is start in with the fan you have and watch it as you go forward be ready to bring in another fan. Oh and remember fans PULL better than they push. So if you can put the fan at the end or very close to the end of the run so if you have to push at all it's only a small way.

Thanks for the reply curio2garden: The ducting is going to run in a big U shape, fan and filter will start in one corner of the room straight through 3 light's make a u turn back through 3 more, then out the window with little to no shifting in the 6in ducting.
