How Shallow Can I Be?

Sorry if this is covered in another thread, but I *did* search first. Maybe I didn't search the right terms.

I want to build a small SOG closet 5'X2'X2' with the flowering on the top and the vegging at the bottom. I expect the flowering plants to reach 2' and the vegging plants to reach 1'.

Since vertical space is at a minimum, I was wondering how shallow a bubbling reservoir I could get away with.

U can use a tray as res, with a 2´x2´ u can get a 60litre (about 25cm high), get some decent 12" airstones inside along with a 250LPH Airpump and even if you use cfl´s ull get decent size plants...

Not the most ideal way to grow (flowering on the top and the vegging at the bottom). But who am I to say ~ Never tried that before.

What are u growing in (Rockwool?). Tub should be at least 3-4" deep I would think! Not much room to grow in (5' x 2' x 2'). Are you going to flower early?

I'm growing in a stealth box that has to fit in my closet. This roomate is OK, but she's moving out in May and the next roomate may not be. That's why the limited space.

If I can get the planting situation under 6", that'd be sweet.

not familiar with those measurement symbols - what are those measuements in... feet? is that 5 foot wide, 2 foot high and 2 foot depth?
