How Often Do You Guys Water Super Soil Plants?

I am currently growing some chernobyl, space bomb, and the void in 5 gallon pots with super soil. I veg for 2 months under a T5 fixture, and flower under 2 600w hps, and a 400w mh. They are all looking amazing but, ive been wondering if other super soil users are letting their soil dry out completely (not to the point where the plant wilts, but to where the container is significantly lighter) before watering, or if you're trying to keep the soil moist and watering before it gets too dry. Ive heard to water both ways, and was just trying to figure out what would be the best for growing organically in sub's super soil. Thanks in advance for your help,.

I'm in 7gal pots and I water every fourth day at peak flowering. I just use the good ol' "lift the pot" method to tel when they're thirsty.

I use 7's as well and Lifting that pot is tried and true! Too much moisture and you risk gnats also.

indeed, after initial transplant it can take 3+ weeks before first water depending on temp. after roots establish, they start to drink faster and in full flower can drink in 3 days or less if plant is large.

I use a mix very similar to sub's soil, and I have found to work for me is using a 1.5in layer of regular sand on top in my 5 gallon pot helps a lot. However I make sure to fully water my soil prior to applying the sand as this will help keep my soil very moist in these hot sunny days. I also make sure to spray down the sand thoroughly as that helps humidity stay high. This helps also in keeping a lot of peskyy critters out of my soil. My plant is very healthy and enjoys the extra protection from the sand. And I water or soak once a week and works for my plant, the 1st plant I had I over watered , so im just being cautious this time.

Hope it helps
