Cr8z13 Well-Known Member Jan 16, 2009 #2 My rule of thumb, water when the top inch of soil is dry. Check by poking your finger around. Add enough water so there is approx 10% runoff in the drip tray. After a couple of waterings you'll know more or less how much and how often to add.
