How much water? soil 3gallon?

How much water do you soil growers give to a 3 gallon bucket? I've been watering 3 gallon buckets till I see water come out of a drainage hole.

you probably have a lot of questions if your asking this. i suggest you look through the FAQ's.
you only water when you soil dries out- not completely but enough. this will prevent you from being a noob and over watering.
also when you water your soil make sure you saturate all of the soil so you dont have any dry pockets. i suggest you submerge your container into a bucket bigger than its self and let it soak up the water.
just my 2 cents. someone else might have different ideas then me. but w/e

water till you get a good amount of run off then wait till it drys out and it feel light again

that way there will be no dry pockets.
