How much on average does your electric bill go up during growing??

I'm debating on starting my first grow. I just moved into a a new house and I share it with three roommates. We also share the electric bill. How much more on average can I expect the bill to be??

depends how many watts ur room runs and how much ur Kw per hr is

Small grows with around 200 watts might add less than $20 a month. Could be a lot more of course. If your roomates aren't sharing the electric cost does that mean they won't be sharing the smoke? or don't they know about it?

What lights do you plan on running?? Im sure if ur looking for every possible way to conserve energy in the rest of the house, your bill shouldn't jump up that much..

Im running a 400W HPS, 175 W MH, some supplemental CFL's, and all my fans and my bill went up maybe $30.

But since I conserve as much power as I can in the rest of my house, it pretty much balances out.

I run a 1000 watt hps and a fan in my grow room and I would say my bill has gone up about $200 a month.

i use a 150.

so uh, maybe a few bucks.

1 run two 1000wtthps forflower and a 400wtt mh for veg. running them adds about $60.00 to my bill.
