Most strains take at least 7-8 weeks to mature properly. Do you know what seed you are growing. I agree with 2 more weeks - at least. You'll get a bigger more potent harvest. Now is a good time to stop giving nutes if you follow the flushing/stop feeding regiment.
If your partner won't wait, perhaps you can each pick a plant all to yourselves - leave yours to finish up properly and show him the error of his ways (if he'll agree).

Another 2-3 weeks, definitely. And personally, I would lean toward the latter. Give them another week of feeding and flush them after that. Get one of those small microscopes and take a look at the trichomes in a few days. That would be a great idea. That is your best bet in deciding where you are at. It really depends on where you like it though. If you are looking for weight and/or knock- you-out type shit, then lean more towards the 3-4 week period. If not, then chop a little earlier. Either way, look at your trichomes. That is the best way to make your decision.

2 to 3 weeks more to go buddy. I have never seen a strain go less than 45 days at most. Avg would be 60 days. I made the mistake to harvest early and thebuds shrunk really bad and was really fluffy. Let them fatten up, you should see the changes in a week or so.

Yea, these guys are telling it str8. I took the tops of one of my outdoor sativas at 8 weeks with a few ambers showing. Nice fruity stuff but I let the understory buds go another two weeks. They were much more dank, even tho all the hairs turned at 8. I pulled another one at 7 weeks due to mold after the rains.. most the buds were fluffy shit once dried even tho green they looked OK.

def 3 weeks it seems from my experience that the plants kinda explode near the last week or two they seem to get an extra 25% bigger..you've gone this far whats a couple more weeks for some extra dankness

Idk the strain you're growing. Indicas take 7-9 wks. Sativas or sat/Dom plants can take between 10-20 wks. You're partner is jumping the gun. Lock the door and keep him out for 2-3 wks and then show him what buds do in their final wks. It's worth the wait.

for some reason he keeps saying that when the pistils on the very top of the buds are half way turned, that they are prime and ready to harvest. he has grown for a long time and i cant really tell him no... its really shitty but we got spider mites too and that is partially the reason he wants to pull them now. we already have well established clones are are controlling them way better on them

Oh spider mites. Sorry dude I didn't know or wasn't paying attention. Mites can decimate a crop in two weeks. But they don't seem to get into the sticky trichey part cause they get stuck and die. Yo I made a bad call if I had a really bad case of spider mites I might just call it a wrap and cut everything down. good luck
