Based on my experience she is not ready yet. But I am on my first grow as well and my girl looks about the same with about 50/50 red/white hairs. I'm waiting until about 90% turn red and the trichs are amber.
Seriously, we should have a race going between our plants they look really similar right now.
My pics are from 5 days ago so she looks more like yours now.

kinda hard to see but probably 3 weeks. two at the very least. if you really want to max potency you need to get a scope and check out the trichombs. It also depends on what high you want.
It depends on strain but early harvest (very few amber trichs) usually gives you a cleaner "up" high while late harvest is more of a fucked up train wreck high...
I know it sucks balls waiting for your first harvest but resist the urge to chop and dont rush drying/curing it will be so much danker

at least 4 weeks, probally closer to 6-8 though. them flowers got alot of fattening up to do still. how often and how much and what type of nutes are you using? how often do you water?

just because the oldest pistils have died doesnt mean its not putting any more flower growth out. hairs will start turning brown throughout flowering, look around on here and take a peak at how big and fat the flower clusters will get if you are patient and really let the plant finish. the last 2 weeks of a plants life is when alot of the growth of the floral clusters occurs, the plant will put all remaining energy in them. i'm gonna stick with at least 4 weeks away

i'm all for waiting if it will increase potency and/or yield. i was asking because the 'hairs' are turning reddish brown more by the day. also, all my fan leaves have fallen off and some leaves around the bud are turning yellow. i usually water every 3 or 4 days. i feed twice, water once. using shultz bloom plus. should i start using water only?

got the microscope. that is fucking awesome! i wish we did this in high school instead of looking at stupid onion peels. anyway, definitely going to wait another couple of weeks. is it too early to switch to water only? seems the soil is not drying up as fast as it did before.
Mr. Destruction: are you saying 4 weeks to get to the so called couch lock level? i think i'd rather have a heady/energetic high than the couch lock. or is this really more of a strain issue? BTW thank you for your help +rep for you sir.
Finally...can anyone tell me if my plant is a sativa or indica by looking at the pics? i can't figure it out, especially because i've only been on 12/12 for 40 days. my other plant has 0 amber pistols at this point. i'm thinking this may be indica then? but i really want that sativa high.

its really hard to for sure tell what a plant really is from pics alone, with all the hybrids floating around it can be hard to even tell if its sativa or indica dominant sometimes. but it appears indica dominant to me, but thats just my opinion/thought on the matter, not a provable fact..
