I smoke about an ounce a month here, plus I eat two brownies per day and the woman eats one. I give her her own personal stash of one pound, not buds, but trim leaves plus budlets plus crunched fans. I also keep two ounces of raw buds of various strains, which is enough to last me until the next crop and the crop after that (just in case something goes wrong with one crop).
I also keep enough canna-oil around to make one pan of potent brownies per week for a year, which comes out to around 200 ounces of oil, or three 64 ounce bottles plus one smaller bottle.
Once I hit those goals (already have, except just shy on the oil, but making that doesn't require buds), then the excess buds go to my guy for half street price. This has been working great for some years now.
