how much growth is good per24hours?

It really is going to depend on many factors. At one point, my bubblelicious indicas were adding about 1-2" per day. That lasted for almost a week.
 
i have an unknown sativa thats gained 7 inches in the past 4 days = 1.75" per 24hours... with that same plant i've had 2" gains per 24hours. and just recently it has gain 3/4" in 8 hours.
